Welcome Sandrine Gasq-Dion!

It is sad to say that I have been sitting on this interview for a month now. I know I do apologize for that, but my life has been a little hectic so I do hope you will forgive my oversight.

Sandrine is becoming one of my favorite authors to read and I swear one of these days I will be able to finish or catch up on her Shifters/Assassin’s series. I have goals.

Please welcome Sandrine and I knew I would love her answer for the zombie apocalypse. (Hey it can happen!)

Vanessa: Why did you become a writer?
Sandrine: I have always loved writing. It started in middle school and carried on to high school and then college. I just always loved writing stories I guess!

V: If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go? Why
S: France for sure. I have so much family out there!!

V: If the zombie apocalypse happened tomorrow would you be ready?
S: Oh hell yes. I’d be at my brothers in Tennessee though. He’s seriously packing some hardware. lol

V: If you could meet anyone past or present, who would it be?
S: I would love to name someone like Einstein or something, but honestly I’d love to sit down with Stephen King and pick his brain.

V: Where do you see yourself three years from now?
S: Still in Arizona, still writing!

V: What is the one thing your readers don’t know about you, but you wished to share?
S: I’ve been through a lot of loss in my life. I lost my father and grandmother in one fail swoop, had a friend commit suicide and lost a friend to the war. I know my writing gives me a creative outlet to get all those feelings out. It’s very therapeutic.

V: What is one of your favorite childhood or adulthood memory?
S: Childhood memory is going on a cruise with my whole family. My brother and I caused so much mischief! J

V: If you could write with anyone past or present, who would it be? Why?
S: I would love to write with GA Hauser. She was my mentor when I first started and she helped me in so many ways!

V: What is up next for you and your books?
S: My life is about to drastically change. I’m getting ready to move and write a new series. I’m also going to tackle a male/female book. I’m hoping that I can attract some M/F readers to the M/M genre. I’m going to be living/breathing rock bands for the next 6 months!

V: Who is your favorite character from your books? Why?
S: I would say Riley. He is one of those characters you can’t help but love. He’s sweet and innocent, but downright vicious when it comes to those he loves!

Men of Manhattan Series:

Best selling author, Sandrine (Sandy) was born in Inglewood, California. Raised by “Old School” French parents, she later moved to Tucson, AZ. It was there that writing became a hobby. Always told she had a great imagination, Sandy wrote short stories for her friends in High School. In college, she took more writing classes while working on her Criminal Justice degree, but it wasn’t until a soap opera caught her eye that she got involved in male on male romances. On the advice of a friend, Sandy dipped her toes into the world of M/M Romance. Sandy takes the writing seriously and has had countless conversations with gay men as well as hours of research. She’s been involved with the military in one way or another for over twenty years, and has a great deal of respect for our men in uniform. She’s traveled the world, but has finally returned to Arizona.
