So I know I’m slacking a little, but it’s not as bad as before. I’m trying to keep up. I remember most days with out the alarm, then most days I ignore the alarm, but not on purpose.
So today, I will be posting the A Fighter’s Heart music list. I’m almost finished with AFH, I swear that finish line is there and I can taste it. Sweet baby Jesus, that’s a lot. Until next time.
Ok so it’s me again. I know, I am rather iffy when it comes to blog posts, but I have sworn to myself to change that. I have a reminder on my phone to tell me to make the blog post for the next day. I know that’s really sad, but I find it to be helpful these past two days.
What the heck am I up to? If you check the blog and look in the corner where the little progress bars are, you know that A Fighter’s Heart is steady climbing up there. Although I haven’t updated it recently. At the time of this post, AFH is at 45242 words. I have also joined a critiquing group with some wonderful people and the ones working on AFH have given me some invaluable feedback on the story. I have a feeling this will be my best book yet. So if all goes to plan, and sweet baby Jesus, I hope that they do, I should have it published by mid-July or sooner, but let’s cross our fingers for mid-July though.
What comes after that, Loving His Mercenary will be released in the summer time as well. Then comes the next story in the Red Moon Pack series. Hopefully by then I will know if I want to write it like Mated, or if they will be two stand-alones.
I may have not been active with the blog, but I swear I have been writing.
Until next time.
I like to read as much as I like to write. So this year I will be doing this challenge, as well as the Goodreads reading challenge. So through out the year I will keep you updated on my progress and hopefully I’ll find a way to put a check mark in the little boxes. I will also give a little review on the book. You never know you might want to read it. Happy Reading!
So let me set the mood for you. I am sitting at my computer, listening to my Google Play, while I get the post ready for Teaser Thursday. My two girls are sitting in the living room with me. There minding there business on the couch. The oldest is watching television, while the youngest is writing in one of my notebooks. Everything is going well.
Until I hear my son screaming “mommy, mommy” frantically. I get up to see what’s wrong, when he is running from the bathroom, fixing his clothes.
Me: What’s the matter?
Son: The bathroom scared me.
So, now I’m curious.
Me: What scared you?
I ask as I walk towards the closed bathroom door. Maybe it was a bug or fly.
Son: The toilet scared me.
Now, I’m trying to contain my laughter. I look at the toilet and the lid is closed. So I state logically.
Me: Maybe when you stood up it the lid closed on you. It’s okay.
He looks at me then the toilet before saying okay. As we are leaving the bathroom, the microwave timer goes off, letting me know my tater tots are almost done. He announces this to me like we did not just have to investigate the bathroom.
Now let’s fast forward 20 minutes.
I’m in the kitchen while I finish fixing my food. When I hear my oldest say, “Wow, you’re strong let’s do that again.” “What the hell,” comes from me, because she’s talking to a three year old. How strong can he be? I go investigate and find my oldest laying on the couch, while my son tries to pull the pillow from under her head. Both of them are cracking up.
I look around the room because there is a child missing. I go look in the bedrooms and find her sitting on my son’s bed coloring in his coloring book with her back to me.
Me: What are you doing?
Youngest: Looks at me before throwing the coloring book and crayon, then pushing it away from her for good measure. Slide off the bed, then run into the living room as if she wasn’t doing anything wrong.
Kids, I tell you!
In recent events, I just moved. Yay!, NO, let me tell you, moving is a beast. First you have to find a place you want to live, and hope that it’s still on the market and don’t look at places before you are actually ready to move because you get your heart set on one place and then when you are ready to move somebody else moved there. Son of a sea biscuit. That happened a few times.
Okay now you found the place you want to live, you need to apply for the place. What makes someone not get a place to live? Random thought.
Then after you pay the deposit, then the first month or pro rated rent, you get your keys.
Now the old place you lived in, you have to pack everything, realize that you have a boat load of stuff, let the property manager know your moving, then go through a checklist of things you need to do, in hopes of getting your deposit back.
After you did all of that, and move everything to the new place, you have to unpack. Which you didn’t like the packing part to begin with, now you have to unpack everything you just recently put into boxes and garbage bags. (Don’t judge me, I ran out of boxes.)
As your unpacking you take back that fact that you have a boat load of stuff, you start thinking you have a shit ton of stuff and you don’t no where to put all of it.
Besides the moving part, you need to change everything with the old address on it. You realize that you give your address to a lot of people and hope to beans that you didn’t forget anybody.
Now your done packing, and changing your address, you pray that you don’t move for a really long time.
So I had a dream last night/this morning and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) was in it. Now I’m more of a Chris Hemsworth (Thor) kind of girl. Now some parts are fuzzy, but needless to say I was not his love interest in my dream. Which is a damn shame, it was my dream. At one point in time he was missing. Then he came back, where he was in a relationship with a guy. Then all of a sudden he’s in a tank with a shark asking for his true love in a microphone. Then everybody is turning to look at a dog. Yeah I know confusing. I think I need to tell my subconscious that I need to be the love interest of any hot man starring in my dreams!
